Internal Pelvic Release Work

Internal Pelvic Release Work

The pelvis is a truly incredible structure.  It is the scaffolding for our low back, core, hips and coccyx.  In synergy with; ligaments, tendons, fascia and muscles this area holds and protects our bowel, bladder and womb.  As in any area of the body, these pelvic soft tissue structures can hold tension.

Tension can be conscious or unconscious and it can stem from;

  • Injuries
  • Postural habits / lifestyle
  • Trauma
  • Surgery

Tension can also hold memories and emotions.

Internal Pelvic release work aims to address this tension by making direct contact with the ligaments, tendons, fascia and muscles of the pelvic floor internally via the back wall of the vagina.  Using myofascial release, directed breathing and scar release work this can help aid pain syndromes of the pelvic floor and pelvis.

This appointment is for all women, be they preparing for birth, post-partum (anyone who has ever birthed a baby) and for those who are experiencing persistent pain or discomfort in the pelvic region.
